lavender lemonade

You can use your favorite store-bought lemonade and add 1 bunch of fresh culinary lavender, or a tea infuser with dried culinary lavender; let it sit in the fridge overnight for an incredible infused lavender-lemonade. Or, make your own from scratch using this recipe:

  • 5 cups of water

  • 1 cup lavender sugar or lavender honey (regular sugar or honey will also work)

  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds or 1 small (2 oz.) bunch of fresh lavender

  • 2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • Lavender picks or sprigs for garnish

1. Combine the water, sugar or honey, and lavender in a saucepan and heat for approximately 10 minutes or until the mixture begins to boil. Remove from the heat and allow to steep until cool. To speed up the process, place it in the refrigerator.

2. Pour the mixture through a colander or cheesecloth into a pitcher. Add the lemon juice and stir. Serve in glasses with ice and garnish with lavender picks or sprigs of fresh lavender.
